7 x ASCAP Award-winning singer-songwriter Rich Wyman is a powerful and
passionate performer who shines onstage as a keyboardist and vocalist.
Rich studied classical piano and violin from the time he was five. After
graduating from The High School For Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale,
Florida he moved to New York City, studying composition and piano at The
Manhattan School Of Music and New York University. He worked in
recording studios and played live shows in New York City for eight years
before relocating to Park City, Utah after a ski trip.
Eddie Van Halen discovered Rich and brought him to his 5150 Studio in
Los Angeles. Along with Andy Johns, engineer of Led Zeppelin & Rolling
Stones fame, they produced what was to become the foundation of Rich's
second album, Fatherless Child. His work with Van Halen broke radio in
Europe and Rich signed with a Dutch record company. His next album
produced two TOP 40 hits and resulted in dozens of tours, TV and radio
appearances, and concerts including Park Pop in The Hague for over
350,000 people.
At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City Rich opened concerts for
Alanis Morisette and Goo Goo Dolls on the medals plaza stage. In 2005
Rich released his 5th CD FACTORY and in 2007 EMBRACE. In 2008 Rich won
his 7th ASCAP award for his new compositions being performed around the
world. ASCAP also gave mention to his powerful song and video Guantanamo
in their magazine Playback. He also won the 2008 Silver Medal for
Excellence in a Performance Film for his DVD/CD combo Embrace at The
Park City Film Music Festival held during The Sundance Film Festival. In
2008 Rich continues writing, recording, producing, snowboarding, and
touring in The U.S.A. and Europe.
Wyman has championed causes, ranging from nuclear testing protests to
peace rallies. Wyman started C.O.R.R. (Coalition Of Resident Renters)
and co-founded C.A.R.G. (Citizens Allied for Responsible Growth) with
the mayor of Park City. Next Wyman was asked to join the board of
directors of F.A.I.R. (Families Against Incinerator Risk) and he
