Family Ties

Your sister or brother takes you home, family ties.
Your father or mother takes your clothes, family lies.
Isn’t it hard to make up your mind, when you’re so young.
They are your parents, they’re supposed to decide.
Which way is right and which is wrong.

Chorus:
Family ties. Don’t talk to people about it.
Family lies. This never happend you see.
Family ties. This will be our little secret.
Family cries. Why did you do this to me.

Most days at school you hide and play, with yourself.
He’s such a fool to take it all out on you, with a belt.
How does it feel to be locked away, in such comfortable surroundings.
Running away won’t change anything.
But you just dream about it.

Chorus

This can’t go on forever.
Who are you, I don’t know your name.
Sure we could talk about it.
What’s the use, things stay the same.

Chorus
