Fatherless
Child
When asked what she would do.
If she were forced to choose, she replied with a lie.
For waiting in the wings, were dangerous things.
These were not men, who called themselves a friend.
Chorus:
Light a candle for the thieves mama.
And a fatherless child who grieves.
Now when asked what she would do.
If she were forced to prove, she just tried not to cry.
After all she’d been through, with a man she thought she knew.
Oh but he came and took her blues away.
Chorus
Now the years go on and on.
Life keeps going wrong, for somebody, who’s seen names, faces, places and
things.
Just keep flying by.
But nobody hears a word mama, nobody hears a word.
Tell me what would you do.
If I asked you to prove, your love for me.
Would you hold my hand in the night, tell me everthing’s allright.
And nobody’s gonna make me do, what I don’t want to go through.
Chorus
