Lighter Than Air

I wish I could fly, just like Peter Pan, forever a boy, never a man.
I wish I was free, out of these chains, this life I have built carrying pain.
If I could fly I know where I go, out over these mountains covered with snow.

If I could fly, I’d open my arms and float with the thought
Lighter than air, lighter than air.

Ever since I was three I’ve had this dream, that I could fly as easy as I breath.
When I was in school the teachers would say “Stop what you’re doing overthere.”
But they couldn’t hear beyond all their fear that music is

Lighter than air, lighter than air.

And it will always be sacred to me. For without it in my life I just wouldn’t care.
My feelings run deep and this dream I will keep, is that someday my life will be

Lighter than air, lighter than air.
